During his studies, Sam developed a broad range of engineering skills, including computational fluid dynamics, programming, and product design. His final-year project focused on the application of wide-angle diffusers in wind tunnel design, combining literature review with simulation and analysis. He has also worked on multidisciplinary team projects involving robotics, medical device concepts, and algorithm development.
Sam has a strong interest in engineering innovation and the translation of technical ideas into practical applications, which has naturally developed into an interest in the protection of inventions through intellectual property.
Outside of work, he is a club-level badminton player, a keen learner of Mandarin Chinese and a classically trained pianist with an interest in jazz.
