Sam joined IP Asset in November 2020 as an Associate in the Chemistry group, having previously worked at a large firm of patent attorneys in London.
Sam has particular experience working in the area of industrial chemistry, particularly on low Global Warming Potential fluorocarbons for refrigerants, solvents and foam blowing agents. Sam also has experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
Sam has worked with clients of all sizes, and has had exposure to prosecution in patent offices worldwide, including in particular, Europe, Japan, China, South Korea, and India.
Sam has a background in Chemistry and graduated with a first class MChem degree from the University of Liverpool in 2010. Sam then undertook a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Liverpool, and developed a new synthetic toolbox for Nanoscale Drug Delivery Systems and their application to HIV/AIDS treatment.
Away from the office, Sam is kept busy by his interest in car mechanics, property renovation, and sailing.
