Sinéad joined IP Asset in January 2024, having previously worked at a large firm of patent attorneys in London.
Sinéad attended Imperial College London, where in 2019 she graduated with first class honours in Physics (BSc). Her final year project focused on the use of nanomaterials for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes within medicine, and she was awarded the David Smith Prize for excellence in Medical MRI and Ultrasound.
Alongside her studies, Sinéad lead an outreach programme at a London school to encourage girls to engage more with physics outside of their syllabus. She also has experience in strategy consulting from time spent in Belfast, working with clients in government, academia and agricultural technology.
Since joining the profession, Sinéad has been involved in drafting and prosecuting applications for clients ranging from large multi-national companies to small university spin-outs and start-ups. As well as prosecuting applications in the UK and Europe, she has been exposed to prosecution in a variety of patent offices worldwide, including the US, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea and India. Sinéad’s technical experience is wide-ranging, including software, optics, environmental technology and medical devices.
